ANI - the India based news agency, which is considered close to the Government, reports that USD 7.5 billion worth defense deals between the United States and India are in the offing.

"All the three services are collating their requirement for the Sea Guardian armed drones which will give us a strong capability in terms of high altitude long endurance unmanned aerial vehicles and also enhance our capabilities to carry out surveillance." -- Indian Government sources

Collation of requirement from the three services - Airforce, Army and Navy - will take a "few months" and a Letter of Request is to be issued to the United States government by March 2020. This is likely to be a Government-to-Government deal, perhaps to avoid the delays of a tender process.
